The Surprising Power of 11 Minutes: A Daily Walk to a Healthier You
Aging is an inevitable part of our journey in life, and the choices we make today can greatly shape our path. Emphasizing the importance of whole-body wellness and mindful living, a recent study highlights the significant impact of 11 minutes of physical activity a day such as brisk walking, hiking, cycling, dancing, etc.
According to the National Institutes of Health, this small investment in physical activity not only can reduce stress and control your blood pressure, but has been found to also significantly lower the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer, and elongate one’s life. In a study conducted by the University of Cambridge, involving 30 million people worldwide, it was found that even half of the overall recommended weekly exercise time (75 minutes) can bring significant benefits.
So what does this tell us? Simply committing a short 11 minutes a day proves to be a powerful step we can all take this new year to encourage aging gracefully and elongating our healthspan!
